Appointment of Catherine Lewis as Managing Director for MiX Telematics TITLE
MiX Telematics is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Lewis as the new Managing Director for its Central Services Organisation (CSO) in Stellenbosch, South Africa. In addition, she has been appointed to the MiX Telematics Group Executive Committee. Catherine’s role as MD will involve bringing together a number of the Group’s central services including product management, development and engineering, fleet marketing, support, and hosting and operations. She has been with the company for more than 12 years.
Previously filling the role of Marketing Director, Catherine has played an integral role in the execution of the fleet product and business strategy, expansion of the company’s global footprint, and the establishment of the MiX Telematics brand.
She was originally recruited to manage sales and technical support to our channel, through nurturing and building the company's strategic relationship with SiemensVDO, who at that stage were the exclusive distributors of the company’s Fleet Manager product range. Over the years, Catherine's role and responsibilities have expanded considerably. Her knowledge of the business at an operational and strategic level, along with her strong relationships with the company’s channel partners and within MiX, place her in the ideal position to take on the new role.
Catherine and the 5 fleet RSO MD's will still report to Charles, who continues his role of heading up MiX Telematics' fleet business globally. Terry Buzer will support Catherine during the transition over the next few months until his retirement later in 2014.
