MiX by Powerfleet and FMSi win Engineering Excellence Award at the ITS Smart Mobility Awards in Abu Dhabi

The award recognised the MiX SafeDrive solution, which was implemented for a key Oil and Gas customer in Oman. It enabled the customer to overcome their challenge of ensuring all drivers adhered to strict rules when driving in a highly sensitive area. Coupled with consulting services, the MiX solution also allows the customer to monitor all their drivers and assets in real-time, while viewing a host of information through a secure web-based platform.

The solution has also enabled the customer to set up a recognition system for awarding good driving behaviour, thereby promoting safe driving practices throughout the organisation. Following implementation, there has also been a sharp reduction in major driving violations such as speeding and harsh braking.

The ITS and Road Safety Awards happened alongside the ITS Smart Mobility Forum, a conference organised by IQPC with support from the Transpo Group.
