They have been a longstanding customer and partner of MiX by Powerfleet and have been utilising their fleet management solutions since 2016. MiX by Powerfleet were chosen as the preferred vendor for BAT based on our global footprint and the fact that we could service all the markets in which BAT operate.

British American Tobacco (BAT) are driven by two objectives. One is creating safer fleets as safety underpins everything that BAT undertakes. Reducing the number of accidents to zero is one of the ways BAT will achieve this objective. The second objective is improving their company’s sustainability, which is at the heart of their transformation journey called A Better Tomorrow™. BAT aims to achieve carbon neutrality across their value chain by 2050.

By utilising a variety of MiX by Powerfleet’ tailored fleet management tools, BAT now has access to vehicle and driver data that is organised into easy-to-understand reports. Using this information, the company has reduced speeding incidents per 100 kilometers driven and harsh braking events by 40% while harsh acceleration events were reduced by 18%. BAT has even managed to lowered the cost of their insurance premium by 8%.
