MiX by Powerfleet - a global provider of fleet management, driver safety and vehicle tracking services – provides solutions to help businesses keep their drivers safe on the road.
Wayne Fee, Head of Global Sales for MiX by Powerfleet said the company would be showcasing its capabilities around Safer Drivers, Safer Vehicles and Safer Roads at the 2015 Safety in Action Conference in Melbourne from 15 – 17 September.
“As well as counting the human cost, the occurrence and impact of work-related vehicle incidents in Australia amounts to a staggering $500 million in lost revenue every year,” Mr Fee said.
“As a result, fleet owners are under mounting pressure to not only identify risky driver behaviour, but also to take corrective action and improve safety levels.
“This cost to Australian businesses could be lowered significantly if driver safety, risk management and compliance was put at the forefront of fleet operations,” he said.
Mr Fee said the Safety in Action Conference was an opportunity to officially launch MiX by Powerfleet’ new GPS Logbook LiVE, an entry level vehicle monitoring solution which is ATO compliant.
“In addition, delegates will be able to learn more about our MiX SafeDrive solution which puts driver safety at the forefront of fleet operations through a combination of defensive driver training and In-Vehicle Monitoring Systems to monitor driver performance and identify unsafe behaviour.
“The In-Vehicle Monitoring Systems identify risky driver behaviour, whilst driver training addresses the behaviour and our consultancy provides an over-arching view of your land transport operations.
“We’re confident that all businesses which operate fleets will benefit greatly from the safety and efficiency benefits it’s designed to deliver, including a reduction in operational and maintenance costs.
“The solution is focused and comprehensive and when fully implemented and supported, it will improve driver safety and reduce accident rates, lower risk, liability and cost,” he said.
Mr Fee invited conference delegates to visit the MiX by Powerfleet stand (F32) to complete a Driver Risk Score Check to identify their risk exposure and what they can do as a business to mitigate it.
Delegates are also offered the opportunity to come and try one of the e-learning training demonstrations and test their hazard perception skills.
